Abu Dhabi Terminals is also known as Mina Zayed and is located centrally on the Gulf coast of the United Arab Emirates and comprises of 21 berths with a total quay length of 4,300m in a sheltered harbour, handling containers, Ro-Ro, reefer, tanker and general cargo.
General Cargo Operations
The port has 13 general cargo berths with a total quay length of 3,380m and a depth of 13 - 15m alongside the quay.
Container Handling
2 x 15m deepwater berths and 2 x 13m berths with a total quay length of around 1,000m. Adjacent to the terminal berths, is a purpose built Ro-Ro ramp 200m long and 10.5m quay depth. Tanker berth: No 20/21, depth 15m, LOA 183m and max draft 12.4m.
Facilities/Equipment
Mobile cranes vary in capacity from 5-150t, 5 x 40ton Panamax container cranes with 39m outreach, forklifts, trailers and 10 x 40t straddle carriers available. Additional container facilities include 25Ha area for stacking containers with 15,000TEU capacity and 160 reefer plugs.
Ro-Ro
There is also a large LCL terminal and a large area set aside for Ro-Ro equipment. Berths 14, 15 and 9 are allocated for car carriers.
